Featured Artist: Cast of Thousands
We’re just about half way through Asian Pacific American Heritage month and our crew has been diligently writing about the experiences and contributions of Asian Americans and other randomness about how we rock (Go crew!). So speaking of rocking, let’s throw the spotlight on this kick ass band, Cast of Thousands. I’ve been listening to their album, “This Is Where I Confess” and all I can say is \m/ (I love this function on gchat, try it if you don’t already know it)! This San Francisco based trio consists of Burt Hashiguchi on guitar, Derrick Hostetter on drums, Jennifer Yee on bass, and all three on vocals. Some of their influences range from from Fugazi, Faith No More, Smashing Pumpkins, and Radiohead to vitamin water, undying loves, wacky coworkers, and broken wrists. Last month, they played at an album release party for fellow APA rockers, Mud. Read more
