Prompt! Where would the path of least resistence take you?
This Prompt! comes from considerations of Annie Lin’s song “Path of Least Resistence”. So BPRLive readers, listeners and contributors, Where do you think your path(s) of least resistence go? Let us know via the comments section what creative ideas this question sparks!
Prompt! is a regular feature, in which a BPRLive contributor will post a prompt for you to make whatever you are compelled to with it. If you’d like to share, post your response (like a poem, thoughts or sudden/micro fiction) or a link to your response (like a blog post, scanned drawings, video, an mp3 of a music composition or photos) in the comments section of the Prompt! blog post.
The contributor will (probably) also respond to the prompt and post that in the comments section at some point.

i will respond in note form, to epitomize my nerd-dom
paths of least resistance…
tao of pooh
a little bit taoist buddhist
don’t resist resistance
against conformist functions
makes a person a feel a little f*ed up
until she realizes
“oh, hey, i decided to approach things this way.
right on.”
and then continues to wonder how to
navigate living in a society that thrives on conformity
and not alienate herself but still exizt as herself
and not feel like she’s failing some system or social structure or wasting resources/space/time
even though in her heart of hearts she has faith it all comes together for good
because her heart of heart
knows what the f* she is doing
even if most people have no idea
which reminds me
it’s so ironic
that when i in yearbook in high school, i was in charge of the page on nonconformists (aka my friends)…i’m not even sure who chose to use that term for the them. i certainly never identified myself or my friends consciously as such
ah, life, you are a funny one.
you know me better than i know myself.
path of least resistance: self-care. truth. heart ties. lessons. pain. disappointment. challenge. humility. growth.
