Jezar Albaniel features at East Meets Words

October 10, 2008
8:00 pmto10:30 pm

Jezar October 10, 2008. The second Friday of October. Another open mic. It keeps on coming. Come join Boston Progress Arts Collective for the longest running Asian American open mic in all of New England. (And maybe in all of the East Coast.) This month’s feature is Jezar Albaniel.

Jezar Albaniel has been involved with music since the 4th grade. He first started with the saxophone, moved on to piano and finally to his current instrument, the guitar. He started his first band in 2007, being lead singer and guitarist. From there, they played shows in the surrounding area gaining respect from their peers. Jezar continues to grow and learn in music and hopes to be involved with it for the rest of his life. For more information, check out the myspace for Jezar’s bands: Gone to the Birds and Jezar.

Come to the bookstore at 934 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA at 8pm to catch the open mic. We’ll be there until there are no more words or beats to share. The show has a $3 cover and is open to all ages. Oh, and since it is Filipino American Heritage Month, we hope to see our Pinoy and Pinay friends out in force.
