Native Guns is back in the Boston area. They are playing at Dewick Macphie Hall at Tufts University. Papersky is opening for them. The event is free and open to people with a college id. If you aren’t a college student, e-mail tufts.fusion@gmail.com to get on the guest list. This event is part of Tufts University’s FUSION event.

Jin “The Emcee” Au-Yeung and Jay Legaspi will be playing at Grains of Rice 2007 at Walker Memorial at MIT in Cambridge, MA. There will also be other performances. Last year, Ken Oak and Phil Good rocked at MIT… we’ll see what happens this year. This event is sponsored by the MIT Asian American Association. I love the Internet. While browsing for potential music to play on BPR, I came across ImaginAsian Radio. According to the their website,

Come see Phil Good Bao Phi on May 11, 2007 at the East Meets West Bookstore (934 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA). The East Meets Words Open Mic Series happens the second Friday of every month and is hosted by the Boston Progress Arts Collective.

Forget the Girl could probably be characterized as an alternative Asian American rock band. I haven’t listened to their lyrics that carefully. But they are playing at Skybar at 518 Somerville Avenue, Somerville, MA. Check them out if you have time.

The April East Meets Words Open Mic will feature Jay Legaspi. East Meets Words takes place at the East Meets West Bookstore (934 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA) and is sponsored by the Boston Progress Arts Collective.
